We all have something that matters to us and it is beyond time to take a stand for what we each believe in. We could change the world by standing firm in our faith.
When my ministry began I was a Singer/Songwriter with a very powerful testimony. God stretched me and grew me into a Minister/Evangelist and mostly a teacher. This ministry became about the "nuts and bolts of the word" and how to make it work in our lives. I am a teacher and these are the things I take a stand for.
1. To take a stand for the prevention of child abuse. I share my own Personal life story and educate others as to the conditions that exist and the avenues of solution that are available. This is inclusive of experiential ideas of causation as well as experiential knowledge of avenues of mental and emotional healing for the victims. I also provide a self examining view for the perpetrators and their own points of causation. The bottom line is to stop the abuse at the source or root cause.
2. To take a stand for health issues. To give a complete understanding of responsibility of body care. Here again I share my own personal life story of physical abuse and neglect to my own body. I provide education as to the importance of body care, teaching illness causes on the mental and emotional levels, as well as the physical, and the interlinking of the three. I share my knowledge of natural alternatives which includes Native American knowledge of herbs and wild edibles. I also teach first nations people, lost knowledge of their own herbal medicine and the identification of the actual plants in the wild.
This education is backed by reputable references. i.e. ;
Doctors, herbologists, Botanists, etc.
3. To take a stand for the First Nations People. Being a Cherokee and having knowledge of the Indian cultures and their plight, I go to them to encourage them. To show them that they can come back from having given up, and from the place of degradation in which they have lived for two hundred years now. I show them their potential and that they can restore their self worth. I also address the issues of alcohol and drugs; sharing avenues of healing based partly on my own experience and partly on educational sources.
The walls between cultures, hatred, guilt, exploitation, prejudice and blame are addressed whether I stand in the First Nations community or in the Non-Indian community. I make the plea to end prejudice. I also attempt to educate the outside world with regard to the truth about the First Nations culture, dispelling as many misnomers as possible.
In order to accomplish these four, above listed points, I use the absolutely most powerful tools available to humanity. Of course there is standard educational material backed by the afore mentioned reputable resources.
However, for the fullest most impacting impression I use the ultimate word of God. I share my testimony and provide education and it is all lovingly wrapped in and fully supported by the word of God. I share that the main answer is always our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
There is hardly anyone that I cannot relate to or who cannot relate to my life and by this I am able to share the Love of Jesus Christ that so healed me and put me on this evangelistic path.
